Death

The rain pelted down upon the windows as the lighting struck and the thunder bellowed as it rattled almost every free standing object in the small one bedroom house, Florean never really liked lighting storms  as she laid in her bed, next to her husband. she could barely breath with out the oxygen tube that ran from the tank in the next room. leaned up the best she could as she could have sworn that she herd the door open and shut.she gasped her husbands name. "Carl.... Carl.... Carl wake up, i, think some ones in our house." she shook him awake, Carl looked over at his wife and groaned from being woken up from his slumber. "What do you Want Women? its 3am there better be a good damn reason for this..." his words stopped as he seen a shadow in the other room, rubbing his eyes he knew the beached wale of his wife would shut up unless he went out there. rocking in self back and forth  he knew he wasnt exactly a tooth pick either, after a few minutes he got to his feet he slipped his slippers on there he always kept next to his bed. he slowly waddled around the bed and in to the next room grabbing for the light switch on the wall. his fingers slowly found the switch, flipped it and instead of a illuminating the room it came on and then it it went off and with a sound that sounded like a pop-corn kernel popping in the microwave it shut off. the lighting struck and the thunder came quickly after making his skin jump "Damn light" he would murmurer quietly as he blinked his eye rapidly so they could adjust for now he was temporarily blinded because of the quick flash. and  after a few seconds he waddled further in to the pitch black shadows, upon reaching the kitchen he was out of breath and sat down at the smallish table.he slowly caught his breath, took a small wiff and smelled like something was rotting figuring it was the trash he stood up "Good Lord, gotta take that out in the morning"  and stood up and returned to the bedroom with his wife he climbed in to the bed, the springs streachted out and the bed bowed due to the added weight. he sighed as he got back under the covers, ready to ply the 20 question game that his wife was ready to start.

"Well what was in there?" "Nothing in there but a damn smelly trash can, its just your damn imagination running wild again like it always does" "Did you check thunder the table?" "Damn it women its 3am get yourself back to sleep and down worry about damn table" "But i swore i herd something Carl..." "then you get your fat ass up and go in there im going to sleep"  and with that he turned  closed his eyes and with in minutes he was asleep again. with the lighting and thunder striking and booming what almost sounded like it was right out in the front lawn it light up the entire house as the sound of rain and the wind made an awful background noise. he started to breath faster she was now fully afraid, then her breathing stopped as  the lighting struck again lighting up the whole house she seen some thing, a figure that stood tall it was a man but he had a ice hook in one hand an a rope in the other with a twisted smile across his face, that image burned in to her eyes as she tryed to scream but fear had already taken the breath from her lungs. as lighting stuck again. he was closer now the middle of the living room, the same twisted smile on his face, as the light faded she could hear foot steps getting closer to her door frozen with fear she could only lay there and await her deadly fate.she could now smell some thing rancid as if some thing was rotting it had made her gag as the smell grew stronger with every growing second. the foot steps stopped and the smell was so over baring that it had made her throw up in her mouth a bit. she could now hear some agitated breathing as if some one was having a hard time taking in breaths, then a nasty, gargled voice as if there was fluid stuck in some ones throat. "I am here to take your Life, and your Husbands Life. your will die, there is nothing you can do to stop this from happening." she could feel an unsettling nausea tears welled up as they slowly fell down her cheek the lighting stuck an she was able to see the man that was going to take her life, although she wished she haddend, but now she knew what she seen was not of this world.

his face seemed as if it were not his own, it was very tightly stretched out like a rubber band. she could see the clips that were sown ever so carefully in to the skin mask, upon its forhead were two small little horns that jutted out under the mask.  as for the eye sockets they were hallow, there were no eye to gaze in to, her eyes shifted to what she thought earlier was an ice hook now able to see it in view as the lighting struck once more she could see it was a rusty, old scythe, the blade had a small glimmer although it was badly oxidized. she could feel a bony cold finger lightly touch her face and then she felt weak and cold so cold in fact that she could see her own breath, she know knew who this gruesome devil was. as he spoke again.

"Thats right" and with that the scythe swooped across the bed as it reached the past her husband with in seconds it was over.

the next morning came and went, as did the next and after the 4Th  day a considered neighbor had called the police fearing because it was the odd that he hadn't seen his obese and kind neighbors that would normally come out and greet him in the mornings, not to mention no one had come out for the mail that was beginning to pile up in the mail box. as the police entered, they nearly gagged from the sight from the repulsive scene before them. body parts, and blood was strone though out the house, it was too much no including the horrid smell from the decomposing bodies that were laying about. although something odd about there heads, the skin seemed to have been pealed off perfectly, the heads had been detached from they're rightful place at the neck and placed in the center of the living room. after a few hours of taking pictures and no eye witness as to what happened the case went cold and life went on and the house was sold.
