Death

The rain pelted down upon the windows as the lighting struck and the thunder bellowed as it rattled almost every free standing object in the small one bedroom house, Florean never really liked lighting storms  as she laid in her bed, next to her husband. she could barely breath with out the oxygen tube that ran from the tank in the next room. leaned up the best she could as she could have sworn that she herd the door open and shut.she gasped her husbands name. "Carl.... Carl.... Carl wake up, i, think some ones in our house." she shook him awake, Carl looked over at his wife and groaned from being woken up from his slumber. "What do you Want Women? its 3am there better be a good damn reason for this..." his words stopped as he seen a shadow in the other room, rubbing his eyes he knew the beached wale of his wife would shut up unless he went out there. rocking in self back and forth  he knew he wasnt exactly a tooth pick either, after a few minutes he got to his feet he slipped his slippers on there he always kept next to his bed. he slowly waddled around the bed and in to the next room grabbing for the light switch on the wall. his fingers slowly found the switch, flipped it and instead of a illuminating the room it came on and then it it went off and with a sound that sounded like a pop-corn kernel popping in the microwave it shut off. the lighting struck and the thunder came quickly after making his skin jump "Damn light" he would murmurer quietly as he blinked his eye rapidly so they could adjust for now he was temporarily blinded because of the quick flash. and  after a few seconds he waddled further in to the pitch black shadows, upon reaching the kitchen he was out of breath and sat down at the smallish table.he slowly caught his breath, took a small wiff and smelled like something was rotting figuring it was the trash he stood up "Good Lord, gotta take that out in the morning"  and stood up and returned to the bedroom with his wife he climbed in to the bed, the springs streachted out and the bed bowed due to the added weight. he sighed as he got back under the covers, ready to ply the 20 question game that his wife was ready to start.

"Well what was in there?" "Nothing in there but a damn smelly trash can, its just your damn imagination running wild again like it always does" "Did you check thunder the table?" "Damn it women its 3am get yourself back to sleep and down worry about damn table" "But i swore i herd something Carl..." "then you get your fat ass up and go in there im going to sleep"  and with that he turned  closed his eyes and with in minutes he was asleep again. with the lighting and thunder striking and booming what almost sounded like it was right out in the front lawn it light up the entire house as the sound of rain and the wind made an awful background noise. he started to breath faster she was now fully afraid, then her breathing stopped as  the lighting struck again lighting up the whole house she seen some thing, a figure that stood tall it was a man but he had a ice hook in one hand an a rope in the other with a twisted smile across his face, that image burned in to her eyes as she tryed to scream but fear had already taken the breath from her lungs. as lighting stuck again. he was closer now the middle of the living room, the same twisted smile on his face, as the light faded she could hear foot steps getting closer to her door frozen with fear she could only lay there and await her deadly fate.she could now smell some thing rancid as if some thing was rotting it had made her gag as the smell grew stronger with every growing second. the foot steps stopped and the smell was so over baring that it had made her throw up in her mouth a bit. she could now hear some agitated breathing as if some one was having a hard time taking in breaths, then a nasty, gargled voice as if there was fluid stuck in some ones throat. "I am here to take your Life, and your Husbands Life. your will die, there is nothing you can do to stop this from happening." she could feel an unsettling nausea tears welled up as they slowly fell down her cheek the lighting stuck an she was able to see the man that was going to take her life, although she wished she haddend, but now she knew what she seen was not of this world.

his face seemed as if it were not his own, it was very tightly stretched out like a rubber band. she could see the clips that were sown ever so carefully in to the skin mask, upon its forhead were two small little horns that jutted out under the mask.  as for the eye sockets they were hallow, there were no eye to gaze in to, her eyes shifted to what she thought earlier was an ice hook now able to see it in view as the lighting struck once more she could see it was a rusty, old scythe, the blade had a small glimmer although it was badly oxidized. she could feel a bony cold finger lightly touch her face and then she felt weak and cold so cold in fact that she could see her own breath, she know knew who this gruesome devil was. as he spoke again.

"Thats right" and with that the scythe swooped across the bed as it reached the past her husband with in seconds it was over.

the next morning came and went, as did the next and after the 4Th  day a considered neighbor had called the police fearing because it was the odd that he hadn't seen his obese and kind neighbors that would normally come out and greet him in the mornings, not to mention no one had come out for the mail that was beginning to pile up in the mail box. as the police entered, they nearly gagged from the sight from the repulsive scene before them. body parts, and blood was strone though out the house, it was too much no including the horrid smell from the decomposing bodies that were laying about. although something odd about there heads, the skin seemed to have been pealed off perfectly, the heads had been detached from they're rightful place at the neck and placed in the center of the living room. after a few hours of taking pictures and no eye witness as to what happened the case went cold and life went on and the house was sold.

Rouge AI

The day was jus like every other day, the sun came up just like it had been doing, to day was no different than any other day. The lawns were cut and the entire neighborhood smelt like fresh cut grass in the morning, it wasn't cold or hot, it was perfect.

In a white room, a girl lays in a bed, the bed has a quite odd color for a small girl at her age, black with a deep red trim along the sides of the outside edges of the huge black comforter. She designed the room she wanted, from the brand of paint, the windows, her bed, and the flooring. It all was hand picked by her.

The paint was white, her windows were Top of the market green windows, allowing the maximum amount of light in while cutting out the all the harmful rays. Her bed had cost a pretty penny, it was mad to fit to her body.  Her floor was the most unusual, it was white, but it was wooden. A special type of wood grown only in South America in it's humid rain-forests, as long as she could prove that it furthered her progress on the project, then it was covered by the grant money she was awarded each month.

Giving a long yawn she sat up in her bed gently licking her lips she got out of bed. As she did her black satin nightie almost slid to her shins before stopping. She gave another yawn and stretched before she opened her window to let in the spring smell, along with a warm breeze that gently blew her hair back, after a few minutes, she steps back and went to her desk. Sitting down she wiped her eyes to remove the sleep that has accumulated in the corners of her eyes.

Her finger slipped over her power key on her personal computer, she had customarily built by her self. She attained top of the line components form around the world. No expense was spared, she knew her computer down to the tinniest parts on the motherboard. She would often say to her self "it's the fastest on the planet."

It powered on and the monitor flickered an showed an image of her own operating system, she created her self about a year ago, she is till working the bugs out but, for now it sufficed, she was working on a project called operation the government labeled "Hue 2". She had been hired to Design and create the worlds first self sustaining AI.

Staring at her computer screen, as she slashed away at strings of code, and lines of text, that would be the brain of the AI. As she was finishing she stopped for a slight second and thought about adding in some kind of back up safety system or B.U.S.S for short that would shut it down and destroy itself. Incase the AI went rouge but she quickly decided against  it, two good reasons; first, if the AI found out about the B.U.S.S then it would know that it could not trust humans, and another reason is, well it was a self sustaining AI and would eventually figure out how to override, or get rid of the B.U.S.S and it would really wouldn't matter if she added it or not, so she didn't add it and keep typing away mercilessly at her keyboard.

After a six hours of non-stop typing she was there the last line of code she stopped and rested her fingers and saved her work she was not crazy enough to activate it on her computer, she was instructed to stop at the last line of code and bring her progress in when she was finished so that was exactly what she intended to do.

But first she was goin to get a shower and some food she was ready for some chow so she went down stairs. The rest of the house was, what some would say less than middle class, they had one bath room, one kitchen, one dining room, and one living room.

Although she was a super genius that had just one created the worlds first actual self sustaining AI she was 11 and she had parents, but they stayed out of her way when she was working.

She called her mother an father by their given names for she would expect them to do the same an call her by hers, so she called out "Simon, Tiffany?"

Simon and Tiffany were here parents. Simon was

only pausing for a moment before continuing " I am getting in the shower" Simon, her father called out from the dining room were he was sitting

She walked downstairs she usually walked around the house in what ever she wore during the night and didn't care to change until she showered.
